The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which is abraded in the brake pad contact area during the initial bedding-in process. Light surface rust can only form in this area during extended periods of inactivity.

The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to allow for as few holes as possible while simultaneously optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.

Price per piece.

Suitable for

BMW: R 1100 GS, R 1100 R, R 1100 RS, R 1100 RT, R 1100 S, R 1150 GS, R 1150 GS Adventure, R 1150 R, R 1150 RS, R 1150 RT, R 850 GS, R 850 R, R 850, R 850 R Comfort, R 850 R Roadster, R 850 RT
