The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which wears off in the brake pad contact zone during the initial bedding-in process. Light surface rust may only form in this area if the vehicle is left standing for an extended period.

The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to achieve optimal cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust while using as few holes as possible. The fewer the holes, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.

Price applies per unit.

Suitable for

BMW: K 1 1000, K 100 /2, K 100, K 100 LT, K 100 RS, K 100 RS4V, K 100 RT, K 1100 LT, K 1100, K 1100 RS, K 1200 GT, K 1200 RS, K 75 RT, K 75 S, R 1100 RS
