Description

• With EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the braking sector. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which possesses an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected by a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which wears off in the brake pad contact area during the bedding-in process. Light surface rust can only form in this area during extended periods of inactivity.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to manage with as few holes as possible while simultaneously optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
