• With EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the brake industry. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which is worn off in the brake pad contact area during the bedding-in process. Only in this area can light surface rust form after the vehicle has been stationary for a long period.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to achieve the required cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust with as few holes as possible. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
