• With EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the brake sector. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher friction coefficient. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which is abraded in the brake pad contact area during the initial bedding-in process. Only in this area can slight surface rust form during longer periods of inactivity.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to manage with as few holes as possible while simultaneously optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
