• With EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the braking sector. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which wears off in the brake pad contact zone during the initial bedding-in process. Light surface rust may only form in this area if the vehicle is left standing for an extended period.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to achieve optimal cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust while using as few holes as possible. The fewer the holes, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
