• By purchasing EBC brake discs, you are buying a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the braking industry. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which wears off in the brake pad contact zone during the initial bedding-in process. Light surface rust can only form in this area if the vehicle is left stationary for a long time.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to achieve optimal cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust with as few holes as possible. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
