• By purchasing EBC brake discs, you are buying a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the brake sector. The development goal is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected by a 3-micron thick zinc layer, which wears off in the brake pad contact area during the bedding-in process. Only in this area can light surface rust form during longer periods of inactivity.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to require as few holes as possible while simultaneously optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer the holes, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
