• With EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the braking sector. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which is abraded in the area of the brake pad contact zone during the initial braking-in period. Only in this area can light surface rust form during longer periods of non-use.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design in order to manage with as few holes as possible while simultaneously optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
