EBC Brake Disc MD 923 D

EBC MD Brake Disc

Manufacturer: EBC
Manufacturer Part Number: MD923D

Description

• With EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the braking sector. The development goal is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected by a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which is abraded in the brake pad contact area during the initial bedding-in process. Minor surface rust may only form in this area if the vehicle is left stationary for long periods.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to achieve the best possible balance between the number of holes and the optimized cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet-weather braking performance and the lower the wear.
