• With EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the braking industry. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron-thick zinc coating, which abrades during the bedding-in process in the area where the brake pads make contact. Light surface rust can only form in this area if the vehicle is left standing for an extended period.
• The brake discs feature a bird-wing hole pattern, designed to use as few holes as possible while simultaneously optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer the holes, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
