• With EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the braking sector. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected by a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which wears off in the area of the brake pad contact zone during the initial bedding-in process. Only in this area can slight surface rust form after the vehicle has been stationary for an extended period.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to achieve optimal cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust using as few holes as possible. The fewer the holes, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
