• With EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the brake industry. The goal of their development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc layer, which wears off in the brake pad contact area during the initial bedding-in process. Minor surface rust may only form in this area if the vehicle is left standing for long periods.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to use as few holes as possible while simultaneously optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
