• By choosing EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the leading manufacturers in the braking industry. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which possesses an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which is worn away in the brake pad contact area during the initial bedding-in process. Surface rust may only form in this area if the vehicle is left standing for long periods.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to achieve optimal cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust using as few holes as possible. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
