• By choosing EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the leading manufacturers in the braking industry. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which provides an 18% higher friction coefficient. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which is worn off in the brake pad contact area during the initial bedding-in process. Only in this area can minor surface rust form during longer periods of inactivity.
• The brake discs feature a bird-wing drill pattern to keep the number of holes to a minimum while simultaneously optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer the holes, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
