• With EBC brake discs, you are purchasing a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the braking sector. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which possesses an 18% higher friction coefficient. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which is abraded away in the brake pad contact zone during the initial bedding-in process. Only in this area can light flash rust form during extended periods of inactivity.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to achieve optimal cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust while using as few holes as possible. The fewer the holes, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
