• By purchasing EBC brake discs, you are buying a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the braking sector. The development goal is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which is worn away in the brake pad contact zone during the initial bedding-in process. Light surface rust may only form in this area during longer periods of inactivity.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to achieve optimal cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust with as few holes as possible. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
