• By purchasing EBC brake discs, you are choosing a premium product from one of the largest manufacturers in the braking industry. The goal during development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is significantly more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3-micron thick zinc coating, which is worn away in the brake pad contact area during the bedding-in process. Only in this area can light flash rust form during longer periods of inactivity.
• The brake discs are drilled in a bird-wing design to achieve the best possible balance between the fewest number of holes and optimized cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
